Back in August 2008, there were some horrendous rainstorms in Dublin.  I took a bunch of photos and uploaded them to my flickr account with a creative commons licence in the hope that maybe one of the big newspapers would publish one.  (At the time, I was thinking of getting an NUJ ticket).  Of course, [...]

Back in August 2008, there were some horrendous rainstorms in Dublin.  I took a bunch of photos and uploaded them to my flickr account with a creative commons licence in the hope that maybe one of the big newspapers would publish one.  (At the time, I was thinking of getting an NUJ ticket).  Of course, no paper used them…

Until January of this year, when an online newspaper called The Journal used one of the photos (below) in an article on drink driving detections.  I think it’s an odd choice for an article about drink driving?

Took this this afternoon on Dorset St. A car and a bus had collided and the emergency services were cleaning up the aftermath. The car got a good smack so I hope the passangers were ok.
