We’ve had two good days of weather now and the flowers are springing (/bad joke) up from the ground. Makes me motivated to get up earlier and take more photos. Here’s one from a few years ago…

ESB Poolbeg Towers at dawn

I was looking for a decent spot for a photoshoot that I hoping to do in a couple of weeks. There won’t be much time to be on location so I needed a spot that could combine several different scenarios. Below is a photograph taken at the spot that I think will make a great location.

It’s on the Royal Canal Way near The Twelfth Lock pub in Castleknock. There’s water and boats (or barges, to be more precise). There’s small pockets of greenery and trees. Even better, further along the walk, the canal actually goes OVER the M50 motorway. There’s lots of big concrete structures and so on, so the graffiti artists have piled in and ‘decorated’ lots of the walls.

It’s a great mix: urban and rural, modern and old, water and metal.
